Community Connections!
Towards the end of 2023, COTA SA’s Strength for Life was presented to staff at Skylight. The staff involved were Regional Coordinating Partners of the Community Connections Program, a program that supports individuals to reduce isolation while being connected within the community. The program gives priority to culturally diverse community members and those living in communities of social disadvantage. In 2024, we look forward to working with Skylight and other agencies involved in the Community Connections Program, by tapping into the wonderful psychosocial benefits of Strength for Life, promoting a sense of belonging and reducing isolation.
Bringing Strength for Life to the Murraylands
Integrated Murraylands Physical Activity Committee (IMPAC) is a collaborative partnership between the Rural City of Murray Bridge, Mid Murray Council, Coorong District Council, District Council of Karoonda East Murray and the District Council of Southern Mallee.
COTA SA is excited to be working with IMPAC to bring Strength for Life to regional residents across the Murraylands. Instructor training is booked for 3 March in Murray Bridge, and sessions will be launched by the end of March 2024.
