Consumer Engagement in Aged Care
COTA SA’s social enterprise, The Plug-In, shares information about Engaging with Older Consumers in Aged Care and CHSP in a short presentation (5.5 minutes run time). This presentation will prompt you to consider how your organisation can engage with customers in a meaningful way that benefits both you and your consumers.
This is available as a free service, supported by Sector Support & Development funding. It covers:
- Why engage with your consumers?
- Best practice consumer engagement
- How The Plug-in can help your organisation
The Plug-in and COTA SA delivered this webinar for CHSP providers to learn all about effective ways to engage with older consumers. The webinar is available as a free service, supported by Sector Support & Development funding and is available to all CHSP providers across Australia. The presentation includes:
- How to elevate the consumer voice in delivering in-home care
- Tips for best-practice engagement with older people to discover what matters most to them
- Practical strategies for how to engage with older people at board level
- Where The Plug-in research team can offer support
In 2025/26, The Plug-in is co-designing materials that will better equip people aged 50+ who are keen to be consumer representatives. The resource will help consumers think though:
- What to expect as a consumer representative
- The power of experience and confidence in perspective
- What to share, and how to care and protect self
- What to ask of organisations as an active member
Stay tuned!

Will I Be Safe?
