Our Silver Rainbow Training & Consulting team (SRT&C) works with those in the aged care sector to assist them to be welcoming to, as well as standards-compliant for, Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Intersex (LGBTI) elders. While the training has been paused because of Covid-19 we’re now getting going again and incorporating ways of supporting workers in country locations. As part of this we are running a series of ‘Silver Rainbow Community of Practice Sessions’.

The Community of Practice is open to all workers and others with an interest in ageing and aged care for LGBTI elders.

Participants will share observations, questions and thoughts since the initial input by Chris Morris.

Afternoon tea provided.

This session will also be available on Zoom for anyone who is unable to attend.

Visit the Events Page to register for other in-person or zoom events planned for 7 September; 5 October; 2 November; 7 December. Topics include Dementia and Making our services LGBTI friendly.

All COTA SA events adhere to COVID-19 social distancing guidelines.
