At our 2024 International Day of Older Persons celebration we invited some of our attendees to take to the camera and tell us 'What do you think younger people and older people can learn from each other?'
Watch our Words of Wisdom video for some of the insights they shared.
We also put postcards on the tables asking the question, 'What do you wish younger people knew about getting older?'. A big thank you to the many attendees who took the time to share their thoughts. Just a few of the insights included...
- Each stage of life brings new and exciting opportunities - just be open.
- Kindness and respect are important at every age and between age groups.
- Life is not always easy but make sure you have good people around to support you. Create your village, nurture it and then return the favour.
- You'll be surprised how much we have in common!
- You can let go of what others think and be yourself.
If you would like to share your thoughts on either (or both) of these questions, we'd love to hear from you, drop us an email at cotasa@cotasa.org.au
