There’s so much to celebrate about getting older. With age comes wisdom, shaped by a diversity of experiences, lessons learned, and many skills we’ve developed along the way.

While ageing brings its challenges, it also offers rich opportunities and rewards. At our International Day of Older Persons event, we aim to inspire our attendees with new perspectives on getting older and encourage everyone to fully embrace their own experiences of ageing by reflecting on its best parts.

At our 2025 International Day of Older Persons event, Ageing Well in Public (and private) life, we took the opportunity to invite attendees to share with us what they celebrate about getting older - today we're pleased to share just some of their words of wisdom in this short video.
