In early July we announced our partnership with WEA Adult Learning and Skills SA which allows us to provide our members with additional learning opportunities through WEA’s program of short courses. This non-accredited learning will help members participate in learning across a broad range of subject areas. This partnership is supported by The Government of South Australia.

We're pleased to share that the offer has been extended and that new courses are now available to book - including courses which have already proven popular such as the Understanding your android phone and Understanding your iPhone courses. This time, we have also included limited spots in the upcoming sessions of our own COTA SA Falls Prevention and Better Balance courses - we hope to see you there.

As well as developing new skills, lifelong learning can contribute to ageing well with benefits including promoting brain health, staying active and engaged and making new social connections.

If you’ve been considering taking a course at WEA this could be the opportunity for you to take a fully subsidised course. WEA have allocated a limited number of spots exclusively to COTA SA members who have not undertaken a WEA course in the past two years.

COTA SA has worked with WEA Adult Learning and we have selected the following courses especially for our members to support skills development in use of technology and helping you to feel more personally and financially secure:
