At COTA SA, we are grateful for the support of our 110 active and highly engaged volunteers, each playing an important part in helping us to achieve our purpose to advance the rights, interests, and futures of older South Australians.

As part of National Volunteer Week, we hosted a special thank you event on Tuesday 20 May at the Capri Theatre to honour the significant contributions of our incredible COTA SA volunteers.

The event was our chance to say express our heartfelt appreciation to our volunteers for their many, many contributions throughout the year.

Guests enjoyed a screening of The Penguin Lessons, a heartwarming comedy-drama starring Steve Coogan.

The event included a special presentation for a number of our COTA Visitors volunteers. These volunteers recently hit milestones of service as part of the wonderful COTA Visitors program, forming connections and friendships with older people at risk of social isolation or loneliness. Seven volunteers received certificates and pins provided by the Federal Government’s Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme in recognition and appreciation of their contributions.

After the film, guests enjoyed a delicious lunch and afternoon tea, generously donated by Vili's. We thank Vili’s for their support of our event.

Thank you to all our volunteers – we couldn’t do what we do without you!
