Getting prepared for extreme weather events: Power outages

Today, we're following up on our previous article on planning ahead to get prepared for extreme weather events in which we highlighted the Get Prepared app. Today we're looking at power outages.

Climate change is exacerbating the number of hazards and emergencies – more extreme hot and cold weather, storms, floods and bushfires. Such emergencies can result in a power outage. When emergencies happen there are lots of decisions to make and a lot to do but planning ahead can remove some of the stress.

Subsequent to our previous article, SA Power Networks contacted us to draw attention to tools which can help you plan for power outages. This includes help for Life Support Customers as well as the wider community.
