Are you interested in being an ambassador for ageing in South Australia?
COTA SA is committed to ensuring older South Australians are visible and heard. Our work is grounded in lived experience and through our communications, we aim to show real people with real stories - everyday older South Australians who are ageing well on their own terms. We're currently looking for people aged 50+ who are willing to be featured in COTA SA campaigns and materials, helping showcase the rich diversity of older people across South Australia. We’d also love to hear from people with a story to share about ageing well, overcoming challenges, embracing change, or navigating the ageing journey.
Depending on your interests and availability, you may be invited to:
- Participate in a Faces of Ageing photoshoot
- Share your story at an event
- Have your story and experiences featured in COTA SA communications
Whether you're interested in lending your face, your voice, or both, we'd love to hear from you.
We're seeking people from metropolitan and regional communities across South Australia, representing a broad range of backgrounds, cultures, identities, experiences, and life journeys. We're particularly looking for people to share their stories about:
- Your approach to living well and ageing well to remain strong and independent
- Finding purpose beyond paid employment
- Navigating a health diagnosis
- The loss a partner
- Decision to stop driving
- Living with dementia
- Ageing in regional SA
- Maintaining social connections including with younger people
- Your experience of ageism or age discrimination

Complete our short survey which should take approximately 5-10 minutes. You'll have the opportunity to:
- Tell us about how you feel you positively represent ageing
- Let us know which opportunities you would like to be considered for
- Upload or email a photo and/or short video (optional for those not expressing interest in the photoshoot)
