Honouring our lives in community

Join esteemed writers Alana Valentine and Christos Tsiolkas in conversation with Jackie Wurm from COTA SA’s Rainbow Hub.

Alana and Christos have collaborated on WATERSHED: The Death of Dr Duncan which will premiere at the 2022 Adelaide Festival.

Renowned for their extensive, rich exploration of the big themes in life, topics will include:

  • how do we strengthen our rainbow community as we age younger and older side by side?
  • what is important as we approach the latter part of our lives?
  • creative ways we can honour lives, including years lost in the closet.

This Forum is part of COTA SA’s Rainbow Horizons project to facilitate conversations within the SA LGBTI community about end-of-lifecare, planning and dying.

We also hope to explore and develop a model of an intergenerational 'compassionate community' to help support LGBTI people towards the end of their lives.

Thanks to Feast Festival and Office for Ageing Well for their support
