COTA SA advises that we will be retiring ZestFest, our annual festival of modern ageing in its present form. With restrictions continuing to loom for festivals and public events, the financial risks and ongoing uncertainty ahead make ZestFest unsustainable for COTA SA.

This has been a difficult decision — it has a long history [previously Senior's Week and Every Generation Festival] and has occupied a significant place on the calendar of older South Australians and community organisations for more than 50 years.

We are actively planning alternative approaches so that COTA SA can continue to engage the wider community in reframing ageing in a way which fits our new realities. In re-imagining the way forward, we are focused on retaining the bold potential and transformative energy exuded by ZestFest.
