COTA SA regularly holds Listening Posts to connect with older people across South Australia to hear their voices and experiences across a diversity of age, cultural background, location, income, health, ability and relationship status.
Our engagement helps COTA SA to better understand the diverse experiences of older people and we use these insights to inform our policy priorities, advocacy and programs. On this page, you can read our engagement reports.
2025 Listening Posts
As part of our ongoing engagement with regional older South Australians, this year COTA SA took our Listening Post events to regional centres across the Yorke Peninsula and the Fleurieu Peninsula.
We were delighted to hear from locals in:
- Yorketown
- Wallaroo
- Moonta
- Kadina
- Goolwa
- Victor Harbor
We love getting out and about in the regions and hearing you talk about your experiences of ageing in your area. Conversations like these help to inform our policy and advocacy work.
A heartfelt thank you to all the older South Australians who generously shared their stories and experiences with us. We’re also deeply grateful to our dedicated Policy Council volunteers for joining us on the ground, and to local partners like Care in Motion Community Care and Transport Inc and Fleurieu Neighbourhood Network for welcoming us into your communities and helping us reach older people in your regions. Your support makes this work possible.
We’re excited to share our new report capturing the important insights from these events.
