As South Australia opens its borders, COTA SA, in line with unequivocal public health advice, encourages all South Australians to be fully vaccinated.

For those who are hesitant to be vaccinated or who need more information, we encourage you to discuss this with your doctor.

Open borders will mean that it is likely that COVID-19 will be present in our community. High vaccination rates reduce the risk of becoming infected, reduce the severity of symptoms and reduce the likelihood of transmission to others.

The other COVID-19 precautions that we are familiar with continue to be very important - good hand hygiene, wearing a mask (or a face shield if preferred), maintaining social distance, getting tested if you are symptomatic, and always check-in at venues.
