COTA SA is an older persons movement run by and for older people.
We promote the rights, needs and interests of 590,000 older South Australians through influencing the policies and actions of government, the private sector and the community sector. We are part of the national COTA Federation.
We also seek to inform and influence public opinion through communicating through the media and directly with decision-makers and the public.
COTA SA's ambition is to change the way we think and do ageing. Modern ageing bears little resemblence to the stereotypes of ageing in generations past.
In addition the priorities for our policy and advocacy work are:
- ageism and age discrimination
- health and wellbeing
