Practical Computer Skills Workshops

COTA SA is pleased to announce the introudction of practical computer skills workshops.

The first series of three workshops will is targeted at tablets (iPad and Anroid) and social media. Further workshops will be held throughout the year.

Practical Computer Skills for iPads and Android Tablets

Dates: July 25 and August 1
Time: 10.30am to 12.30pm

Presented by John Travers

Bring your tablet along to work through a range of practical skills including:

  • Using your tablet
  • Google Maps - finding your way, public transport etc
  • Managing, sending, editing photos
  • Calendars, Contacts, Alarms
  • Password managers, security, avoiding scams
  • Online newspapers and magazines
  • Podcasts
  • Getting help
  • Exploring and getting Apps
  • Using the Cloud

If you don't have a tablet computer, you can bring a laptop and follow most of the topics, but instruction will focus on tablets. Similarly a smartphone would allow you to follow tablet demonstration. Free wifi will be available.
