Sign the petition to end the aged care lottery

The long election campaign is into its third week now and it's great to see one of our election priorities - better aged care - is on the agenda!

COTA is a leading member of the National Aged Care Alliance, a coalition of 48 organisations in aged care, which has launched a campaign demanding an end to the system that means too many older people miss out on the care they deserve.

You can sign our petition to the leaders of the major political parties here.

In only a few short days many hundreds of people have already signed the petition and we'd love if you could add you name too.

The bigger the numbers, the more impact we'll have.

It is not good enough that thousands of people are forced to wait months and in some cases years to access the level of care and support the Government's own independent assessment says they need.

We are talking about older, vulnerable Australians, living day-to-day, missing out on showers, daily care visits and family respite. This is not how we should be treating our elderly parents and grandparents.
