The Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) is looking for motivated, community minded project managers to fill positions available for Area Supervisors to manage Census operations. These are temporary, casual positions with flexible hours.
Working on the Census is a great way to contribute to your community. The data you help to collect provides an important statistical snapshot that supports planning, policy and funding decisions for a range of local services and infrastructure - from health and education to housing and transport.

Area Supervisors will recruit, train, lead and supervise a small team of up to twelse temporary field staff to deliver a successful Census result in their area. They will also quality check delivery and collection activities, protect data security, and ensure the health and safety of their teams.The roles and responsibilities of field staff will reflect the 2016 Census digital-first approach, so if you are tech-savvy and a great communicator, the ABS wants to hear from you.

Applicants for Area Supervisor roles must be Australian citizens or have the legal right to work in Australia, and hold a valid driver's licence.
