FiveAA evenings with COTA SA

Jane Mussared, COTA SA's chief executive, will appear on 5AA evenings with Alan Hickey each fortnight on Monday at 10pm to discuss topical issues relating to older South Australians.

Topics scheduled for discussion:

21st March - Older people's health and exercise

Research indicates older people aren't getting enough exercise. Why this is an issue, the barriers and what people can do to change this?

4th April - Housing

Home ownership is no longer the bedrock that props up a relatively meagre pension. There are fewer options as home ownership diminishes and many people are forced into private rental. What will this mean for older people?

18th April - Transport issues for older people and older driver discrimination

Feedback from metro and regional people about the issues they are facing and possible solutions COTA is exploring.

2nd May - Discrimination in the workplace

What is it, how are people affected and how people can up-skill in their older years to ensure they are job ready.

16th May - State budget submission surrounding regional communities

Enlisting the views of older residents to develop Age Friendly Communities in regional towns, particularly those facing serious economic challenges.

30th May - The bucket list of older South Australians

What's on your bucket list, what stops you doing it and why, how can this be overcome.
