Changes to services provided by Domiciliary Care

Domiciliary Care have updated the services they are providing following the recent Commonwealth aged care changes.

Domiciliary Care will continue to:

  • Operate as a provider of the Commonwealth Home Support Programme delivering services for older people

    - referrals to Domiciliary Care for people aged over 65 years must be directed through My Aged Care, phone 1800 200 422. People can nominate their preferred provider to My Aged Care

  • Deliver state-funded programs, including specialised palliative care services, rehabilitation and services for adults with chronic conditions aged under 65. Eligibility for these programs remains unchanged.

Referrals are to be directed to the new Domiciliary Care Access Service
    Phone: 1300 295 673
    Fax: 1300 295 679

  • Provide services to existing clients as part of the agreed arrangements between the Commonwealth Department of Social Services and existing HACC service providers. Existing fee arrangements will continue to apply. Where an existing client's needs significantly change, they will be referred back to My Aged Care for an assessment. Existing Domiciliary Care clients are being visited to explain what the changes will mean for them.

The Access 2 Home Care service that was previously operating as the intake service for all HACC services concluded on 30 June 2015. This service is now provided by the My Aged Care system.

The new Domiciliary Care brochure includes information about our Commonwealth and state programs, as well as our new referral form for our state programs. This form can also be accessed from www.sa.gov.au/domcare.
